Back to School Event

UPDATE: Our Back to School Backpack Event was a success!

We want to say a special huge THANKS to our local business sponsors: the knack in Orleans, Cobie’s in Brewster, Davenport Realty in South Yarmouth, Montessori Beginnings School in Sandwich, Rooter Ryan in Orleans and The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod.

Nicole Mitchell and Kind Hearts for Kids Inc. also donated school supplies and their time yesterday.

Special thanks also goes out to James and Paul of the Chatham Boy Scouts who helped with setting up tables and carrying boxes, to our community who donated hundreds of items, to our volunteers who organized the items and served as personal shoppers with the kids, and to the foster families who traveled to Orleans to give their kids the opportunity to choose their own backpacks, school supplies, sneakers and other essentials.

There was a lot of excitement over the prospect of going back to school with new clothes and shoes!
