Winter Coat Giveaway
A drive to collect new winter coats, boots, hats and mittens.
In late October 2021, we held a drive to collect new winter coats, boots, hats and mittens.
When families came in to choose their winter gear, they were also able to “shop” for warm clothing… they could browse through our racks and pick what they liked!
Many local community members donated items and several knitting groups donated handmade hats, mittens, sweaters and blankets.
In addition, an off-Cape family held a drive and collected 65 pairs of boots plus loads of hats and mittens. With the help of some family members, they delivered the items to the Cape over the course of 4 weekends.
